Batman + Catwoman 4eva

Last week was a big week for Batman/Catwoman fans as we finally got to hear Bruce Wayne confess his undying love for Selina Kyle in Detective Comics #850. And all it took was for Hush to literally tear her heart out in what is easily the most heavy-handed metaphor of the year.

Here's our money scene:

Shriiiiiieeeeeek!!!!

This made me pretty happy. Bruce and Selina are my favourite couple of all time. And I am including myself and my husband.

I didn't really get the impression that this was going to change anything in the Batman world, especially since he's supposed to be dead soon, or whatever. It was a very nice moment, though, and I thank DC for it. It doesn't make up for canceling Catwoman AT ALL, but it's not bad.

Oh, Batman and Catwoman. You've come such a long way.

Shut up, Robin.

  1. Oh Robin is definitely a third wheel in THAT conversation. Batman is certainly a little full of himself too.

But yes, it was quite a moment there, at the hospital. I don't even like Bats that much, but even I gave a tiny little sniffle.

  3. "Um ... ME TOO! I always do that, TOO! I mean ... I'm here, too! Me -- ROBIN. Right? Uhhhh, Batman ...? I'm right here! Hello? HELLO? Someone pay attention to me, damnit!"

    LOL

It was a nice moment. Too bad he's in love with what's her name who set him up in Batman RIP and dying in both Final Crisis and RIP or whatever they are letting Grant Morrison do to him.

    *sigh*

  5. I would be more excited about this if Dini's run didn't have so many terrible, terrible comics in it before he wrote a Hush story.

I'm just saying, when you're making the case that Batman and Catwoman are each other's true love, someone will always ask "Wasn't Hush in that story?"

  6. Wait, why does Lamont Cranston love Catwoman?

  7. So Robin loves Catwoman too?

I shouldn't be surprised that Catwoman has a set of claws on her, but DAMN. That's one fine manicure for someone recovering from a near-death experience.

  9. Yeah I know. Y'know what I like to think? That Bruce Wayne got her a manicure while she was unconscious because he knows how important her nails are to her.

    BECAUSE HE LOVES HER!

  13. It won't work in actual fact, that is exactly what I suppose.

  14. Just wait until The Dark Knight Rises. I think they're going to have a brief moment of romance after all this intensity.
