Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone! Have a safe and happy holiday!

Here's one of my favourite superhero Christmas scenes (though it's kinda heartbreaking) from Dave Gibbons' and Steve Rude's Worlds Finest series.

Awwww, Superman. Points for trying.

Best of 2008 post coming soon!

Well, at least NOW I know where all the "last time you inspired anyone is when you were DEAD" resentment comes from.

"With friends... uh... I mean, you know, REAL friends." Superman is a dick.

Merry Christmas to you too. I found this site only last week and its really helped me find some interesting books as I find your taste impeccable and your sense of humor keeps me coming back for more. I stopped collecting floppies many years ago, but now I have a huge list of trades to order. cheers

Jeffrey Brown's Cat Getting Out of a Bag and Other Observations is one of the titles that this blog has turned me onto.

You might be interested to know that Newsarama has an article about his upcoming project, Sulk Volume 2: Deadly Awesome. http://www.newsarama.com/comics/120823-JEffrey-Brown-Sulkv2.html

Ok, not fresh news but this two fellas should totally fuc...get engage!
This plot line could make me buy the Batman/Superman comic:
Superman would be the winning-needy one and Batman the buch-but-sensitive, and they would have passive/agressive arguments during their fights against villains...

OMG!I sooo want this to happen!
(and Bruce coming out to Selina Kyle would be great too, I bet the Lady thief have already figured out his love for the douchy Man of Steel!!)
(hum...getting overwhelmed..)

"Hey Batman, I hope you'll like this. I flew back in time and took a close-up picture of your mother's expression from the moment she was shot in the gut. Merry Christmas!"

"Thanks, Clark. Here's that chunk of kryptonite you wanted."

I found a link over at the "Blog de Jotace" and I got here. Suprise surprise, SallyP is here as well, lol.

Anyways, Batman is going to kill the entire Superfamily now.

Uh...where exactly was Superman carrying that gift all that time?!?

I'm going to pretend that that was the same Christmas as "Silent Night of the Batman," when crime did take a holiday and Batman's heart grew three sizes.

Now, see, if Bruce would just, oh I don't know, TALK TO HIS FRIENDS SOMETIMES and tell them all the things they don't know about him, maybe they wouldn't do things like, well, buy him the movie he saw when his parents got murdered! Communication, Brucie!! THIS is why it's a GOOD thing to have! Sheesh. And Clark, you should know better. HOW many years has it been that you've known Bruce? And you haven't figured out yet that he doesn't celebrate holidays because they remind him that he lost his family--a fact which you DO know for yourself--and that if he goes so far as to invite you to spend a holiday at the manor, IT'S A BIG DEAL? You haven't figured out yet that this boy-scout/Pollyanna crap you keep trying to push on him is just wasted breath (not to mention hurtful, but then, I guess he's not a REAL friend, after all. C'mon!
But hey, give Bruce points for the fact that he gave diplomatic answers--"I have seen it, and it already has brought back some memories." He could have scowled at Supes, thrown the movie in the snow, and driven over it while shouting, "I don't frikkin' celebrate Christmas anymore, douchebag, and THAT is why!"
