All the fun of Batman: Arkham a video game!

According to Newsarama, there is a new Batman video game in the works.

Batman: Arkham Asylum.

I know that, like, 99% of super hero video games suck, and yet I still get excited for each and every one.

I actually liked the Batman Begins game quite a bit. You got to be sneaky and clever, and I like that. This game sounds like it will be scary. Batman meets Silent Hill.

I hope it's actually based directly on the book, and that the Joker hits on Batman in creepy, creepy ways.

I am looking forward to this, but what I really want to see is a Batman game done ala GTA. Gotham instead of Liberty City, save people instead of mug them, call the Batmobile instead of carjack people. Mostly I want the "go anywhere, do anything" feel with Batman in Gotham.

Okay, that would be pretty cool.

Hope they populate Arkham with more than the standard rogues gallery. Humpty Dumpty, man!

Sounds very interesting. I might have to invest in some kinda system, just to play this game on! (out of the loop)

You're idea sounds interesting too, as long as there's an overreaching plot though or decent `vs rogue's gallery mission, cause tryuly `open' games tend to get boring after a while. (If i recall from years gone by)

I think we'll be pretty safe- Dini loves the obscure villains as much as the next guy. Although he does have his favourites (Riddler, Harley).

I have an idea for HumptyDumpty that'd- if I ever get to write Batman/Detective etc- comic you will love.

Earlofthercs, if you're in the US you might want to try your shot at this Stacker 2 contest going on in which you could win a PS3 or 360 (your choice). Right now there are less than 150 entrants so the chance of winning is pretty decent. All you have to do is design a 6 Hour Power t-shirt, and if you win you get the system of your choice along with a copy of Rise of the Argonauts, ten t-shirts with your design on it, and a year's supply of 6 Hour Power energy shots. Check out the details here:

I work with them so let me know if you have any questions. If any of you enter, feel free to send me an e-mail and I'll definitely vote for your designs. Good luck.
